COMPATIBILITY

electromagnetic properties of a material determine
how well it will work with RFID tags and readers.
RFID Compatibility is a measure of a materials compatibility
with RFID systems. This information is important for
the design of packaging materials as well as enclosures
and shelving for embedded RFID assemblies. RFID Compatibility
should not be confused with RFID Interoperability
testing or RFID Compliance, which ensure that a specific
RFID system conforms to certain hardware performance
standards.

order to facilitate the development of RFID-compatible
products and packaging materials, TagSense offers
services to help design and test application-specific
materials that are to be used with RFID systems. In

testing service, which provides a standard set of
electromagnetic measurements for all common RFID frequencies,
including 125 KHz, 13.56 MHz, 868-930 MHz, 2.4 GHz,
